Homecoming

Soccer legend Ronaldinho made his return back to Brazilian soccer last week. The Brazilian native has spent the last 10 years in Europe playing for various teams but at the age of 30, he decided it was time to come home. His debut game for Flemengo was no ordinary homecoming. He received a standing ovation from the sold out stadium packed with 40,000 supporters. Every time he touched the ball, the crowd went crazy. He helped lead the team to a 1-0 victory over Nova Iguacu. Although, he didn't play his best game but looked very impressive for a player making a comeback after time off.

Ronaldinho is looking forward to competing for a roster spot on the 2014 Brazilian World Cup soccer team. He helped lead the Brazilian team to a 2002 World Cup and played on the 2006 team but was not selected for the 2010 team. Ronaldinho will be 34-years old by the time the 2014 World Cup rolls around but his experience could prove to be invaluable.

If you have never had a chance to see Ronaldinho play, here are some of his highlights...
