A look at last 10 years of NFL draft

With the NFL combine coming up this weekend, it is officially draft season. I recently found an interesting study done by one of my favorite sources. I have posted the study below. Check it out.

Draft Project: 21^st Century Draftees 1^st Team All-Pro Study

There were 115 Occurrences (Players had multiple occurrences) of 1st Team Associated Press All-Pro players drafted from 2000-2009.

• 65 occurrences were by 1st Round Picks: OG Steve Hutchinson and DT Kevin Williams lead the 1^st Round picks with five 1^st team selections apiece. LB Brian Urlacher and S Ed Reed have 4 selections, respectively.

• 15 occurrences were by 2^nd Round Picks: S Bob Sanders (x2), WR Chad Ochocinco (x2), DT Kris Jenkins (x2) KR Devin Hester, OT Michael Roos, LB Lofa Tatupu, OG Chris Snee, DB Rashean Mathis, DE Osi Umenyiora, QB Drew Brees, OG Matt Light, S Mike Brown

• 10 occurrences were by 3^rd Round Picks: S Adrian Wilson (x3), WR Steve Smith (x2), DE Justin Tuck, LB Lance Briggs, TE Jason Witten, RB Brian Westbrook, K Nate Kaeding

• 10 occurrences were by 4^th Round Picks: DE Jared Allen (x3), FB Le’Ron McClain, KR Leon Washington, K Stephen Gostkowski, KR Jerome Mathis, CB Asante Samuels, OG Jahri Evans, LB Elvis Dumervil

• 6 occurrences were by 5^th Round Picks: P Shane Lechler (x5), PR Dante Hall

• 4 occurrences were by 6^th Round Picks: P Andy Lee, K Neil Rackers, LB Adalius Thomas, QB Tom Brady

• 2 occurrences were by 7^th Round Picks: CB Cortland Finnegan, DT Jay Ratliff

• 3 occurrences were by Undrafted Free Agents: WR Wes Welker, FB Leonard Weaver, KR Josh Cribbs
